The back-to-school energy is in full swing around Parma! Parma City Schools Kindergarten Orientation wraps up this week on Sunday and Monday, August 30–31, so if you've got a little one starting school, make sure you're on the calendar for your slot. Saturday night, Wesley Saylor is taking the stage at The Tipsy Flamingo starting at 9:00 PM. I've heard his sets are the perfect mix of originals and covers. And on Sunday at noon, record collectors won't want to miss Derek Riggs' meet and greet over at The Vinyl Groove Records on Pearl Road. The Ukrainian Village Parade & Festival was a beautiful celebration as always this past weekend. I love how Parma just keeps things moving.

This family-owned Parma staple has been around for a long time, and honestly, that's one of the things I love most about it. It's not flashy or trendy. It's just a good, honest place to grab a drink, catch a game on the big screen, and eat a burger that hits the spot every single time. The kind of spot where you walk in and instantly feel like you belong.
I love recommending Union House to clients because it's exactly the kind of local gathering place that makes a neighborhood feel like home. The food is classic American comfort fare. Think burgers, wings, fish fry on Fridays, all the good stuff. Stop in for a cold beer and the Reuben. It's the real deal, and the service is always friendly.
