This Week in Parma Heights
We're winding down the last full week of August, and Parma Heights is making the most of these final summer days. The Dog Swim at the Parma Heights Pool is coming up this Saturday, August 29 from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. If you've never seen a golden retriever cannonball into a pool, you're missing out. And on Monday the 31st, the Walk with Rec group meets at Nathan Hale Park at noon if you want to stretch your legs and say hi to neighbors. With school starting soon, I'm also seeing a lot of "For Sale" signs going up from families making their move before the school year kicks off — so if you've been thinking about listing, this is absolutely the time to call me.
Don Ramon Mexican Restaurant
One of my favorite local spots in Parma Heights has to be Don Ramon Mexican Restaurant on Pearl Road. It's a family-owned place that's been serving up homemade Mexican food since 1998, which tells you something right there. The chips and salsa alone are worth the trip (they make them fresh every day), and I always tell my clients coming from an open house to grab the Quesabirria Tacos or the Steak Mexicano if they want something hearty. The vibe is warm and colorful, the margaritas are excellent, and the portions are generous without breaking the bank. It's the kind of place where the staff remembers your name, and that's exactly the kind of community Parma Heights is. Go try it, and tell them I sent you.
