Brunswick has always been a great place to live, but if there's one thing we've been missing, it's sit-down dining options. We've got plenty of bars and fast food spots, but a true restaurant experience? That's been hard to come by.

That's why I'm so excited about The Social House at Mapleside Farms, opening this September.

Mapleside Farms is already a Brunswick landmark — everyone knows the apple orchard, the bakery, the fall festivals. But owner Greg Clement is taking things to a whole new level. The Social House is part winery, part brewery, part eatery, and it's going to completely change the dining scene in our community.

Here's What's Coming

Three connected spaces are being built in what used to be the Apple House, bakery, and gift shop:

The Press

Classic Mapleside bakery favorites available year-round, plus coffee and grab-and-go options. Perfect for a quick morning stop or an afternoon treat.

The Great Room

The main dining and gathering space. Think craft wine, beer, cocktails, and cider paired with approachable, delicious food. This is where you'll come for dinner with friends, a date night, or a family outing.

The Library

A more intimate space for conversation and connection. Soft seating, great drinks, and a cozy atmosphere.

The concept was inspired by a trip to Italy, and the team has been hard at work researching recipes, cocktails, wines, beers, and ciders to get everything just right. Chef Rob Romph is building a menu of approachable, delicious food, and award-winning brewer Mike Piazza is bringing his craft beer expertise to the mix.

And here's what I love most — the view from Mapleside is extraordinary. Imagine having dinner overlooking the orchard and the rolling hills of Brunswick. There's nothing like it in our area.

This is a big deal for Brunswick. We're getting a true dining destination — not just another bar or drive-through, but a place where our community can gather, celebrate, and enjoy a meal together. It's the kind of addition that makes you proud to call this town home.

The Social House opens in September, and I can't wait to be one of the first through the door. If you're in the Brunswick area, this is one you don't want to miss.

Thinking about making Brunswick home? I've got you.
