In the suburbs I serve — Brunswick, Medina, Strongsville, and surrounding communities — you can find a well-maintained 3-4 bedroom home for $250,000 to $500,000. That's a fraction of what you'd pay in many other metropolitan areas for a comparable home.

As of early 2026, the median home value in the greater Cleveland area is significantly below the national median, making Northeast Ohio one of the most affordable metropolitan markets in the country. Your dollar goes much further here.

Schools Are a Major Draw

Many people relocate to the suburbs specifically for the schools, and for good reason. The Brunswick City Schools, Medina City Schools, Strongsville City Schools, and Brecksville-Broadview Heights Schools consistently rank among the best in Ohio. These districts offer strong academics, competitive athletics, and robust extracurricular programs.

Four Distinct Seasons (Yes, That Includes Winter)

Let me be honest: Northeast Ohio has real winters. Snow is part of the deal, typically from November through March. But here's the thing — the communities here are well-prepared for it, and the other three seasons are genuinely beautiful. Fall foliage in Medina County is stunning. Spring brings blooming parks and the return of outdoor activities. Summer is warm, green, and perfect for lake days at Erie.

Community Is Real Here

One of the things that surprises newcomers most is how strong the sense of community is in these suburbs. Town festivals (like Hinckley's Buzzard Day), community sports leagues, farmers' markets, and neighborhood gatherings are part of everyday life. People know their neighbors, and there's a friendliness that's hard to find in larger metro areas.
